Hello stranger, I'm Emre.

I'm a software engineer and engineering leader, with nearly 20 years of experience building and shipping consumer software. I love to work on products that make people's lives better, even the smallest bit.

I have a deep interest in software architecture, human-centric design, developer experience and software engineering culture. I try to build high performing, high trust teams that deeply care about the products they build and the people they build them for.

Professional

I'm currently working as an Engineering Manager at Decathlon Digital. I also have a company I founded in 2024, where I help companies to ship software or build high performing engineering teams.

Personal

I've lived in Amsterdam with my family since 2014. I like running and kendo, which I started practicing regularly after a (very) long break.

I grew up in Usak, Turkey. I studied Computer Engineering at Bilkent University and Software Engineering at Bogazici University.
